TWIRL – Twinning virtual World Information with Real world data sources – project aims at creating an open platform able to process, mine, interlink and fuse data originating from real world applications and on-line data sources. It will augment real world applications with knowledge extracted from virtual data sources. Thus, applications will become richer, more personalized (thanks to information brought from more personal sources like blogs) and more social (thanks to information brought from social networks and making people communicate and collaborate around results).
